Week 5
Part One: Support and Comment on Teammates' Goals
Part Two: Possible Capstone Ideas
While watching some Capstone presentations, three possible project ideas came to me. Project one is an AI-Powered Resume Analyzer, a website which would help job seekers optimize their resumes with the help of artificial intelligence. The second was an Interactive Data Visualization Dashboard which would show real-time climate change information to the user through different live, dynamic visualizations. Third, a Gamified Learning Platform for Coding Challenges: a website-based tool that motivates users with coding exercises, leaderboards, and achievements. Each project is somewhat aligned with my front-end development aspirations and seems to be intertwined with AI, Data Visualization, or Gamification.
Part Three: Keep Up With Your Learning Journal
Throughout the week, I spent good time reflecting on my educational and career objectives, inside my team's specializations, and their industry experiences. I brainstormed quite a few capstone ideas. For thoughts extending from AI projects to data visualization and gamified learning, this process really put me in a place to better align my skills with practical applications in real life. I also realized that internships accumulate as hands-on experiences in front-end development, which I would want to give utmost priority to before I graduate from college. I will definitely keep my mind open for its alignment with future career growth. At this point, my prime focus should be on building a portfolio, networking, and getting internships to gain experience so I am ready by the time I step foot in the industry.
