Week 3

Part 1 The study tip topic I chose was note-taking skills.  Note-taking can be enhanced through the application of effective techniques such as the 2-6 Method. It organizes the key points and details within two columns, making it easier for you to check back later. If you wish to combine your lecture notes with outlines from textbooks, apply the Split Page Method. Moreover, rewriting or typing the notes after the class reinforces retention and enhances clarity. Color-coding, through the use of different pen colors or by highlighting, will help in retention while making the notes look nice. Prepare for lectures by reading the assignments in advance so that the notes taken are focused and meaningful. This is the best, most concise, and clearest review notes strategy. Part 1: Review and Reflect Learning Strategy I am good at time management , as I am good at creating structured schedules that allocate time for studying, breaks, and other responsibilities, helping me stay organized and reduce procrastination. I also thrive in focused study environments , where I minimize distractions by choosing quiet, comfortable spaces to maximize productivity. Additionally, I effectively use visual tools and outlining , such as charts, diagrams, and key point highlights, to simplify complex concepts and improve understanding. I need to work on critical thinking because I often take in information without questioning it deeply. I also need to improve my note-taking skills since my notes are too detailed and hard to review; using summaries and index cards could make them clearer. Week 1

  Introduction This is my first exciting week in the CS Online at CSUMB. Here is what I was able to accomplish and learn. I read the syllabus for this course carefully to understand the program structure and the expectations from it. I examined the Netiquette Guidelines about maintaining respect and professionalism within each online discussion. I was engaged with my teammates to establish communication and the sharing of learning goals about what each wants to achieve during the semester.
